A poem of a broken soul…This maybe you, your friend or your loved ones. Some of us maybe a broken soul hiding behind an armour. Please read…
The twinge runs through your mind and rushing to your heart,
Breaking all dreams losing its strength that couldn’t be recharged,
Piercing every wall, breaking it by devastating thrash,
Is there any way or glimpse of hope to heal deep-seated wound?
The process was long, time passed by but the scar remains,
Leaving the ruins of a broken love, hope and dreams,
The eyes with tears and in its vision everything was dimmed,
The pathway was covered with vivid memoirs of hurts and despairs.
Oh what made you lose heart, languished, exhausted and worn? The throbbing sore you’re bearing along with agonizing soul; Desperation besets, weeping and moaning all day long; At a complete loss, mixed up and perplexed, couldn’t stand anymore.
The load was too heavy, your yoke was truly weighing you down; Worn-out and so weary, couldn’t step forward, desolate and lonesome; You couldn’t spread wings lest you break out of that thorns within your heart; The only key to escape from that despondency which tearing you apart.
So now you’re giving up is there any place for you to go? There’s nowhere else to hide it would still run after you because it’s within you; Whatever you prefer or what you opt to do, just one you ought to decide; If finally you’d fly, be able to conquer the shackle from your hands; Or just be in your state, remain in your prison, stay in your broken path.
Choose now oh weary one, to reach out for the Hand that wants to pick you up!
I know that these words are not enough to illustrate how a person in pain, in restlessness and brokenness truly feels. But despite the struggles of our weary souls, we’re trying to hide what’s inside and cover it with our outward person wearing an armour. We’re like a child inside a warrior.
But do you believe that even in the midst of difficulty, we can always find the faithfulness of God? Where else can we turn to when we’ve done our best and still we can’t have a breakthrough from our situation? Personally, I would rather run to Jesus who offers rest for my weary soul. You can too, He’s just waiting for you.
“Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls.”
