A Short Tribute To Women On International Women’s Day

Hi there! Thank you for your time checking out this short blog, a poem for all women. I was thinking of something to write to give tribute to all women in the world like you, to let you know that your existence on earth is significant.

I want to celebrate with all of you the International Women’s Day, our day. Women, we have prominent role in this world, in our community, in our family, in our homes.

Since history’s beginning, from day one to date, women played significant roles, whenever a man is mentioned there is also a woman. We can read inspiring stories of Biblical women whose strength and faith in God leaves an impact to us like Sarah, Rebecca, Esther, Ruth, Leah, Rachel, Mary ( the mother of Jesus) and Mary Magdalene to name a few. Even in modern history, women who stepped up and bravely fought their battles has inspired many lives such as Florence Nightingale, Mother Theresa, Marie Curie, Clara Barton, Marilyn Monroe, Hellen Keller and many more unknown brave women .

So women, do not despise yourself. You are significant, you are valuable, you are important, you are beautiful and you hold prominent position in this world, whoever you are, wherever you are and whatever you are. Most of all, you are precious in God’s eyes.

Let me confess, honestly I almost forgot this day. I just saw a post from one of my Facebook friends that she is celebrating  the International Women’s Day so I immediately wrote this blog and poem for you and me because this day is very meaningful for all women, it’s a day to be celebrated. I hope you’ll like this short and simple poem dedicated for you and me.

The Women’s Might – A Poem by Rhodenia Cunanan

With lesser strength a “she” was made,

The weaker one how she’s perceived

And yet by her fragility men were raised

Home were lit, nations were built.

A lesser role to her was given

Yes, inferior to men whose stronger

And yet in all men’s triumph and conquests

Women’s support made him the best.

Though she seems frail and tender

Delicate, fragile and understated

Her strength deep within is present

Man’s all success, sustained by her prowess.

Yes, women’s role is not lesser

Perseverance is her power

Her heart is strong and can endure

Whatever costs, she’ll stand to bear.

Happy International Women’s Day!!!
